Each piece in this series captures a time spent with my friends and family in the places that they inhabit. I have found in my studies of these spaces, that they can, in a way be understood as an extension of a person's consciousness. When we consider the duration and methods of any image's creation, we may see beyond a view of a single moment and a perception of a series of passing moments could be formed Recently I have chosen to use a bird's eye, panoramic view in the aim of portraing my experience of an environment in its entirety. These paintings have become potent reminders of fond times for me. |
